FFG Community brings people and organisations together to provide practical support, from mentoring and essential resources to community events such as Radar. We work with trusted partners to help more people access support and opportunities.

FFG Connect is an application-only membership for entrepreneurs, corporate professionals and people working towards the next stage of their careers. Through conversations, practical sessions and relevant introductions, members build relationships, share experience and support one another’s progress, online and in person.

Founder
Dean co-founded Forbes Family Group with Danielle, drawing on his own experience of how belief, support and the right relationships can change a person’s direction. His career leading global technology businesses has shaped FFG’s commitment to helping more people access opportunities. He continues to guide the Group’s ambition and bring people together through his experience and relationships. In 2025, Dean was ranked No. 1 on the Powerlist as the UK’s most influential Black person.

Danielle co-founded Forbes Family Group with Dean and has shaped its purpose, values and direction from the beginning. As Chairwoman, she helps guide the Group’s decisions and long-term plans, keeping its work focused on the people it exists to support.

Ann-Marie Hackett
Co-CEO
Ann-Marie has led the development of FFG Connect from its earliest stages, bringing members, partners and programmes together. Her three years as Chief of Staff to Dean gave her experience across the Group’s people, partnerships, commercial activity and community work. As Co-CEO, she leads Capital and Connect, developing the relationships, membership and commercial plans that support FFG’s growth.

Through Investment Arena, three Connect founders had access to a £100,000 investment opportunity, delivered in partnership with Cornerstone VC.

Fifteen Connect members joined Dean Forbes and Forterro’s senior mergers and acquisitions team for a session on building, buying and growing technology businesses.

Through FFG conversations, Connect members have heard from Emma Grede, Idris Elba, Krept, Paul Brunson, Posty, and Kate and Rio Ferdinand, learning about the decisions, setbacks and relationships that have shaped their lives and work.
