The Ascenders

Despite what the media portray, excellence can be found anywhere. It has long been proven that one of the pre requisites for success, is ‘opportunity’. Those that have opportunity often thrive, whilst those that don’t, well, they more often than not, don’t.

We wanted to share the stories of some amazing people with a difference. People born and raised in difficult circumstances and environments. People who were not blessed with opportunity or social and economic status. No silver spoons. No hand outs. No preferred paths.

We call these people Ascenders, and whilst the media and public opinion may want you to believe that people from this walk of life, with these backgrounds, who walk, talk and look this way, cannot Ascend to excellence, these people and their journeys to excellence tell a different story. A story of achievement, of resilience, of excellence.
