Tim campbell, MBE
Regional Head, Africa OSTC Group / BBC1 The Apprentice

Tim is a well-known and enthusiastic proponent of diversity and inclusion. Education, empowerment, and entrepreneurship are the three pillars on which the organisation is built. This led to his most recent roles as Regional Head of Africa and Trading Futures Lead for the OSTC Group, which was just named Best Proprietary Trading Company in 2020, and Diversity and Inclusion strategic adviser for global talent acquisition company AMS. Tim has also made a complete circle by being named as Lord Alan Sugar’s next advisor on the BBC One show The Apprentice, which he won in 2005.

In 2012, he was given an MBE for his contributions to Enterprise Culture. He received the award after assisting Boris Johnson, the then-Mayor of London, with his efforts to increase the number of corporations recruiting apprentices from underrepresented communities across the capital, as well as leading Bright Ideas Trust, his own foundation, to raise over £3 million and support over 750 underserved start-ups.

Tim has prioritised his work in the education sector as a Liveryman and Freeman of the City of London, joining the City of London Corporation’s Education Board and championing Apprenticeships, as well as the social impact that businesses have on their communities through his active support of the Lord Mayor’s Dragon Awards. Tim is also a member of the Windrush Commemoration Committee.

Duane Jackson
Founder of Kashflow & Staffology

Duane Jackson had a choppy childhood, growing up in children’s homes in London’s East End, dropping out of school with no qualifications, and serving a five-year term for drug smuggling. He was imprisoned in both the United States and the United Kingdom. With a child now on the way, he chose to “go straight” after his release and sought assistance from the Prince’s Trust in 200 3 to start his own web development company.

This stemmed from him finding it difficult to keep track of his finances using Sage and Quickbooks, so he created his own web-based tool. KashFlow was born when he saw a potential to market this product to other small enterprises.

KashFlow was one of the original Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) applications, pioneering the transition of software from the desktop to the cloud. KashFlow has 40 employees and served almost 20,000 customers by 2013. The company was sold to IRIS in October 2013 for a figure that was said to be “in the tens of millions.” Duane was honoured with the Pride of Britain Achiever Award in 2015. Since then, Duane has served as an advisor to a number of companies, including Breathe HR (which was later bought by ELMO Software), Capium Software, and Citysprint. Duane recently founded Staffology, a UK-based API-first payroll application aquired in 2020.
